It seems that Amarok has much faster access to its library-funktion than Listen. Would be nice if Listen was equally quick, I really like the interface (possibly inspired from iTunes or the great winapp MusikCube?).

Well I uninstalled listen and reinstalled the stable release and now it's working, so it really must have been that I need the "bad" gstreamer.
Thanks a bunch for all the help!
Is there no one but me how have complaints about the "libraryfunction"? It's plain slow, not in any way as fast as Amarok. How do I fix this?
Seems good but listen is a stupid name for a product because you can't google it - unsurprisingly the word "listen" comes up for pretty much every linux media player.
I'd like to recommend Exaile - www.exaile.org

I installed Listen yesterday and I really like it! I have the stable version (0.4.3) b/c the beta does not play m4a files.
However, the ipod sync icon does not appear in the center browser, and never has. Am I doing something wrong? How do you sync to ipod in Listen?
