i have bought the above printer but cant find a linux driver. the OpenPrinting website says its a Paperweight. is there no way i could use it on linux.

It doesn't look like it - sounds like you may need to get yourself a new printer.

If the openprinting database says that your printer is a doorstop, I would suggest returning it for a printer that is supported.
