Friends,
Installed Jaunty oin a Dell T500 Desktop.
Video Card: ATI Technologies INc Radeon RV100 QY (Radeon 7000/VE)
Problem:
Ubuntu boots perfectly when using the regular computer monitor.
The graphics card is a dual pin & S Video output.
I want to use this desktop with my television set (Quasar, not a flat screen)
When computer is shut down, I unplug the regular pin computer monitor and connect the S Video to the television.
When booting, the splash screen appears, then the television screen goes blank. I do hear the logon window audio prompt, so it appears that the computer is not freezing, just the S Video signal cuts off just before the login screen.
Doing CTRL+ALT+F1 turns the s video signal on and the login prompt appears on the television.
Doing CTRL+ALT+F7 does nothing, a blank screen appears.
Doing CTRL+ALT+F1 the login prompt appears again.
Any ideas how to keep the s video signal going all the way to the login window?
Thanks.
