Compatibility with Surface Laptop Studio 2

Hi, I am using Surface Laptop studio 2, and thought of installing Ubuntu on an external drive.
I used the LTS version with a bootable usb stick.
I have taken the steps to properly install. However, when I select "Try or install Ubuntu", it displays an error message regarding time for an instant and continued. Then, when Ubuntu finished loading from the USB stick(It took pretty long), the trackpad, keyboard, and touchscreen all do not respond.
The haptic system for the Trackpad does not work, and the keyboard is lit up but unresponsive.
Does anyone have a way to figure out what's wrong?
